On December 5, the result of the eighth “China’s Most Respected Enterprises” Vote co-hosted by the Management Case Study Center of Peking University and the Economic Observer was announced with Hisense on the list. This is the third time for Hisense to receive this great honor. In addition, it is another great privilege for Hisense Electric Co., Ltd. and Hisense Kelon Electrical Holdings Company, Ltd. to be given the "Golden Eagle Award" and the "Golden Phoenix Award" due to their extraordinary outstanding performances and rapid growth.
It is reported that the selection process officially began in July 2009 and lasted four months. After the professional evaluation of nominees, preliminary election, and the final election and publicity, the award-winning enterprises were eventually chosen. Selections were made based on the technology innovation, social responsibility and many other aspects.

For environmental protection, Hisense has always advocated new technology-driven energy saving and pollution reduction, pushing sustainable development by technology innovation. For the past couple of years, Hisense has the more energy-efficient 360°DC inverter air conditioner and 6A refrigerator on the market. Hisense’s Ronshen brand launched the fifth-generation energy-efficient star refrigerators, consuming only 0.25 degrees electricity per day and establishing a world record of the lowest electricity consumption.
In terms of social responsibility, Hisense strongly supports education. Following its RMB 5 million contribution to the Qingdao Education Fund over the last 10 years, Hisense invested another RMB 13.8 million in support of education development in Qingdao. Within 13 hours after the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake occurred, Hisense decided to immediately contribute RMB 6 million for reconstructing the Chen jia ba Primary School in Beichuan. Hisense later raised RMB 2.38 million. In August of this year, the Hisense Chenjiaba primary school was put into use. Thousands of children very contently started learning in a totally new environment. Compared with other schools in the local area, the Hisense Chenjiaba primary school had the largest investment and most advanced facilities.
So far, Hisense has contributed to the building of hundreds of primary and secondary schools and has launched a total donation of nearly RMB 1 hundred million to society in recent years. Due to its outstanding performance in assuming social responsibility, Hisense has repeatedly won the “Best Enterprise Public Image” and “China’s Most Respected Company” honorary titles.
